What happens when chefs, caterers, and bakers begin thinking outside the box?

We end up with more than our usual  cupcake or banana bread.

From individual quiches and baked macaroni and cheese, to personal pumpkin pies and tiramisu, they’re reinventing old favorites.  This delightful new trend combines the mini meal craze with the skill of presentation, and we love it!

Thanks to internet platforms like Pinterest, fans can find inspiration through recipes, photos, and other members’ ideas.  For example, here is a popular recipe for single serve mini potpies that we’ve shared on our Pinterest Board:

Ingredients: 2 cans of Pillsbury biscuits; 1 cup of cooked and diced chicken breast; 1 can of cream of chicken soup; ½ cup or more shredded cheese; 1 cup of frozen mixed veggies; 1 tsp. of onion powder, 1 tsp. of garlic salt, and preferred herbs to taste. (Frozen veggies do not need to thaw first).

1.    Mix everything in the bowl except for the biscuits.
2.    Press biscuits into free standing bake cups.
3.    Spoon and pack the filling into each one.
4.    Place bake cups on flat cooking sheet.
4.    Bake for approximately 15 Minutes.
5.    Cool, serve, and enjoy!
6.    Freeze leftovers for later.
